Construction at Mike Ilitch School of Business to Finish with a Flurry
Now just a couple of months away from the end of construction and the start of move-in, work crews are racing to the finish line focused on drywall, painting, limestone and interior glass installation, sidewalk paving and landscaping work.
By bringing the school closer to Detroit’s Central Business District, students and instructors will have greater access to Little Caesars Arena and other world-class sports and entertainment amenities in The District Detroit.
Upon its debut, the business school—made possible by a historic $40 million donation from the Ilitch family— will be home to more than a dozen programs, including new curricula on police leadership, Sport and Entertainment Management and Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
The state-of-the-art facility, located at Woodward Avenue and Temple Street, will boast modern amenities including a pop-up incubator for small businesses, flexible teaching spaces, a full trading floor and a corner café.
