Contractor Outreach Event August 25 on Wide Range of Offerings

Information on dozens of new Detroit Events Center contracts will be available a contractor outreach event August 25, 2015 at MotorCity Casino Hotel. Contracts available are wide ranging and including floors, ceilings, appliances, metal work, landscaping, signage and wayfinding, and much more. This diverse set of contracts represent a great opportunity for area businesses, especially Detroit-based or –headquartered businesses. Tuesday’s event is an opportunity for companies to get detailed information on the bid package offerings, the bidding process, and other details.

Olympia Development of Michigan has committed to maintain at least 30 percent Detroit-based/headquartered business participation in the development of the new arena. Representatives from Detroit-based and –headquartered businesses are highly encouraged to attend this event. Information on partnerships will also be available at the outreach event Tuesday.

The outreach event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Motor City Casino and Hotel. Detroit-based businesses can register at 8:00 a.m., the event begins at 9:00 a.m. Other business are welcome to start registration at 1:00 p.m. and the event begins at 2:00 p.m.
