Michigan-Made Products at Little Caesars Arena

020

The new Little Caesars Arena isn’t the only Michigan-Made, Detroit-Built creation at 2645 Woodward Ave.

The innovative, mixed-used sports and entertainment venue is filled with locally-designed and made-in-Michigan goodies, from Traverse City-brewed beer to Detroit-crafted Shinola watches and Pewabic ceramic tile.

SHIRTS GALORE: Michigan-based apparel companies have plenty of shirts for sale at the main Team Store near the arena’s Meijer entrance. Check out the Michigan-printed Detroit Piston shirts designed by the Royal Oak-based, Ink Detroit, or athletic swag locally designed and exclusively printed for the arena by The Mitten State of Grand Rapids.

CRUNCHY DELIGHTS: The arena offers an array of crunchy treats. Grab a bag of Detroit’s tried-and-true brand, Better Made Snack Food chips, at 313 Grill Co. concession stands. For peanuts, check out Detroit’s own Germack Pistachio Company, available at concessions and the arena chicken spot, COOP.

YUMMY SANDWICHES: What’s a sandwich without a little local flavor? Head over to the HANDMADE stand at the District Market and try some sauerkraut expertly prepared and bottled by The Brinery of Ann Arbor. Or munch on pickles made by the Detroit-based company, McClure’s.

SWEET TREATS: Creamy strawberry gelato sourced from small-scale Michigan farmers. Cheddar herb scones. Vanilla bean coconut macaroons. Chocolate covered coffee beans. You name it, Zingerman’s of Ann Arbor has you covered if you’re looking for a frozen treat or a delectable baked good at SUGAR +BREW at the District Market. Looking for a one-of-kind nibble? Try Detroit Popcorn Company of Redford’s fruity popcorn, also available at the market.

SHINOLA: Shinola Detroit assembles its beautiful watches right in its West Milwaukee Street factory in the New Center district, home of the new Detroit Pistons complex. Check out the company’s watches and other leather goods at the Team Store.

GIFT TILES: Pewabic, the historic pottery in Detroit's Jefferson Corridor, has been crafting timeless, ceramic art since 1903. Their customer installation can be seen on the Woodward façade side of Little Caesars Arena. Grab one of the brand’s special Detroit Red Wings tiles at the Team Store. The coaster-like goods were previously only available online and at the company’s East Side store.

SPIRITS & LIQUOR: At the arena’s East, West and Player’s clubs, visitors can taste extraordinary selections from Michigan alcoholic beverage companies. Try Valentine Detroit Distilling Co.’s Detroit White Blossom Elderflower Flavored Vodka, distilled in the heart of Ferndale, Rusted Crow Distillery’s Handcrafted Gin or Journeyman Distillery’s Snaggle Tooth Coffee Liqueur, made right in Three Oaks.

BREWERY HEAVEN: The District Market and other food areas are filled with Michigan brewery beverages. The arena currently stocks sections from Bell’s Brewing of Kalamazoo, Founders Brewing Co. of Grand Rapids, New Holland Brewing of Holland, Dark Horse Brewing Company of Marshall, North Peak Brewing Company of Traverse City and Griffin Claw Brewing Company Birmingham Lake Brothers Beer Company of Detroit, Gonzo's Biggdogg Brewing of Kalamazoo and Motor City Brewing Works of Detroit.

GOT BEEF? What’s a sporting event without the ultimate game food: hotdogs. Check out Dearborn Sausage Company’s Dearborn Brand beef frank, featured at the company’s Sausage Haus concession stand and at arena clubs.
