New Live Webcam Shows Little Caesars Headquarters Construction Progress

Lchq Thumb

A live webcam is now streaming views of the new Little Caesars World Headquarters campus expansion construction site on The District Detroit website.

Follow along every day as construction progresses on the modern new nine-story, 234,000 square-foot office building—the first built in Detroit in a decade. Choose from a live camera or time-lapse directed at the jobsite right next door to the Fox Theatre.

This is the second live streaming webcam installed in The District Detroit. During the past year, we’ve also been capturing time-lapse video and daily image archives of the construction of Little Caesars Arena—the new home of the Detroit Red Wings and premiere entertainment venue in Metro Detroit set to open next year.

Little Caesars and Olympia Development of Michigan broke ground on the Little Caesars World Headquarters campus expansion September 7.

Twenty-seven years after moving its headquarters from the suburbs to Detroit’s Fox Office Center in the heart of downtown, Little Caesars is more than doubling the size of its current campus in Detroit to accommodate the company’s rapid global growth and hiring.

Expected to be complete in 2018, this new expansion to the Little Caesars world headquarters campus is Detroit’s first newly constructed corporate headquarters building in more than a decade and only the seventh since 1950.

The Michigan Made, Detroit Built project is led by Brinker-Christman, a Detroit-based company as construction manager, and Detroit-based architect, SmithGroupJJR. To date The District Detroit has awarded more than $315 million in contracts (nearly 60 %) to Detroit businesses and more than $500 million in contracts (more than 90 %) to Michigan businesses. The District Detroit will ultimately account for a total economic impact of more than $2 billion and create more than 12,500 construction and construction-related jobs in addition to 1,100 permanent jobs.
