Renovated Fox Theatre Marquee Shines Brightly within The District Detroit

The Fox Theatre marquee is a beloved icon in the city of Detroit and an important symbol of the Ilitch companies' ongoing commitment to our hometown. The Ilitches purchased the theatre in 1987, restored it to its original grandeur, then relocated their company headquarters to the building in 1989.

Our recent renovation of the marquee adds state of the art technologies like LED displays while honoring tradition by staying true to the original design. We knew only a company from right here in our city could truly understand what the Fox means to our community, so we engaged Detroit-based Fairmont Sign Company to execute this project led by our in-house architecture experts.
