SPOTLIGHT: Kisha Gibson, Detroit Ambassador

031 Kisha

For Detroiter Kisha Gibson, MotorCity Casino Hotel is like home. As an executive host, she makes sure that when guests arrive, they eat, relax and depart eager to return.

“I love the people. I take the time to help them, whether they’re spending a dollar or $10,000. I want them to feel welcome. If there’s no them, there’s no me,” Gibson said. “To me, MotorCity Casino is like family.”

Gibson has been employed at MotorCity Casino Hotel for more than 15 years where she works hard to build a connection with visitors and ensure they feel welcome. There, she supervises staff members and makes follow-up calls to ensure guests leave happy.

In addition to Detroit-based Little Caesars and the new Little Caesars Arena, MotorCity Casino Hotel continues to be a major employer in Detroit—with more than 2,500 employees.

The District Detroit will continue to fuel job growth in the city with several forthcoming retail and office projects, including the DMC Sports Medicine Institute near the new Mike Ilitch School of Business at Wayne State University; a new Little Caesars headquarters on Woodward Avenue and with the thousands of construction jobs created throughout developments underway or completed in the area.

Aside from delivering an incredible experience for guests, Gibson enjoys being an ambassador for Detroit and directing hotel guests to some of Detroit’s jewels, such as the many nearby sports and entertainment venues within The District Detroit including the historic Fox Theatre, Little Caesars Arena and numerous restaurants and bars located within blocks.

“There are so many exciting things going on in Detroit,” Gibson said. “I want to show people that Detroit is beautiful.”
