The District Detroit Gets Romantic This Valentine’s Day
Those looking for a romantic date on Valentine’s Day will have plenty of options to choose from in and around The District Detroit. Restaurants, bars and entertainment venues throughout the 50-block development are offering a variety of sport, music, alcoholic and dining-related specials on Wednesday, Feb. 14. From hotel getaways and soul-stirring R&B performances to a Pistons game and four-course meal at MotorCity Casino, there’s something for everyone.
Here’s a look at some of what’s happening on Valentine’s Day:
Detroit Pistons v. Atlanta Hawks at Little Caesars Arena

Take It to Your Seat at District Market
From Monday, Feb. 12 to Wednesday, Feb. 14, the District Market at Little Caesars Arena will offer the three-day Valentine’s Day special, Take It to Your Seat. For $60, couples get two entrees from fast-casual food stations GREEN, GRILL, HANDMADE and MEX & CO., a bottle of Whispering Angel rosé or Detroit M. Lawrence sparkling wine from ON ICE and a slice of Zingerman’s Bakehouse cake from SUGAR & BREW. The package can be purchased daily, as early as 11 a.m., but no later than the start times for the Detroit Pistons and Red Wings games scheduled Feb. 12-14. Learn more here.
Babyface and Valentine’s Day Dinner at The MotorCity Casino
Iridescence, the 16th-floor fine dining spot at MotorCity, will offer a special, four-course dinner on Valentine’s Day. Reservations required. Restaurant opens at 5. p.m. 2901 Grand River Ave.

Free Wine Tasting Wednesday at The Royce Detroit Wine Shop & Bar

Republic, which serves “rustic-chic” American fare, will offer a six-course Valentine's Day dinner that includes wine. The evening will start at 6:30 p.m. in Castle Hall at the historic Grand Army of the Republic Building, 1942 Grand River Ave. Dinner will follow at 7 p.m. Options range from duck heart tartar and grilled beef heart to sweetheart figs and red velvet mochi. Valentine’s Day Getaway at The Inn at 97 Winder
Local couples looking for a quick getaway or “staycation” away from home can take advantage of a Valentine’s Day deal at The Inn, right across from Little Caesars Arena at 97 Winder.
