Detroit Tigers fans got a taste of summer last Saturday as thousands came out to meet their favorite players and coaches during TigerFest at Comerica Park—an annual offseason event that offers fans the opportunity to partake in unforgettable experiences. TigerFest is one of the most popular events happening in The District Detroit and is a celebratory send-off for the team before the Tigers head south to Lakeland, Florida for spring training.

Fans were decked out in their favorite Tigers gear and lined up hours before the gates opened to have the chance to meet Miggy, take selfies with Justin Verlander and get some tiger-striped face painting in the Kids Zone.

Fans also filled The District Detroit’s booth where they got some limited-edition swag like Tigers T-shirts, baseball caps and sunglasses and learned more about this transformational development project happening all around Comerica Park.

Detroit Tigers players report to spring training on February 13, in preparation for Opening Day in Detroit on April 7.
