  • FREE Entry open to guest of all ages
    • September 10th and October 1st from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
    • Located at 1 W Columbia Street between the Fox Theatre and Little Caesars Global Resource Center
  • Parking
    • $5 parking will be available at the Fox Garage (see Parking section below for more info)
  • Fun on the street
    • Live Music by DJ Drummer B
    • Dance performances by Marc Brewer and Rose Turuka that explore well-known social body movements from the African diaspora.
    • Complimentary Caricature Drawings on a first come first served basis
    • Sample beverages, promotional giveaways, and classic yard games by Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey, Van Gogh Vodka, and Founders Brewing Co.
  • Local one-of-a-kind artwork
    • Home Decor and gifts created by Sherly Heading Designs; ceramics artists Genevieve Vandzant; painter Ida Hawkins and more all available for purchase.
    • Detroit Public Schools Community District students enrolled in the Fine and Performing Arts program featured along Montcalm Street near the pedestrian exit of the Fox Garage, as well as in front of the Fox Theatre on Woodward Avenue
    • Artwork viewing gallery on display curated by the N'Namdi Center of Contemporary Art.

    • Cuban Inspired Street Food and beverages available from Frita Batidos

Where is Columbia Street?

Columbia Street is located between the Fox Theatre and Little Caesars Global Resource Center in the heart of the District Detroit.

Can I bring outside food or drinks?

No. Food and drink options will be available for purchase on-site provided by Frita Batidas as well as signature drink menus by Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey, Van Gogh Vodka, and Founders Brewing.
Alcoholic beverages will be sold to attendees 21 years and over. Please drink responsibly.

Can I ride my bike or motorized scooter onto Columbia Street?

Columbia Street is for pedestrians only. Bike locks will be available free of charge at the Woodward Entrance if needed.

Can I bring my dog with me to the event?

Yes! Dogs must be leashed to stroll the Art Walk.
