Ribbon Cut on New Little Caesars Arena

As the official debut of the new, innovative Little Caesars Arena nears, several hundred community stakeholders, professional athletes, government officials and fans gathered today at the sports and entertainment complex for a ribbon cutting ceremony that signified the continued revitalization of Detroit.

Little Caesars Arena is the product of 600,000 hours of hard work logged by Detroit construction workers. Alongside thousands of other tradesmen and women and more than 800 apprentices—the team has worked to build the new home of the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons.

So far, The District Detroit has also awarded more than $475 million in contracts to Detroit-based companies, while Michigan-based companies, including those in Detroit, have received nearly $700 million in contracts.
