SPOTLIGHT: Davelle Hunt, Detroiter, Cass Tech Student

012 Intern

With the help of his internship at Little Caesars, Davelle Hunt has discovered a possible career in Curations.

Hunt is one of the 24 Cass Technical High School students interning at several Ilitch Holdings, Inc. companies, including the Detroit Tigers, Little Caesars and Olympia Entertainment. The competitive 9-week summer program, now in its fourth consecutive year, gives local students hands-on experience working throughout The District Detroit urban destination. During the internship, students shadow professionals and perform tasks in various departments, including human resources, communications and marketing and event operations.

As a curation and content activation intern with Little Caesars, Hunt conducts research on historical events relevant to the Ilitch Companies, historic milestones and music in Detroit.

Hunt said he applied for the position because he wanted a job that would benefit him in more than one way.

“I want to be able work in a team while being able to strengthen my interpersonal skills,” he said.

Over the past few weeks, Hunt has learned about working in professional corporate setting by sitting in on company meetings and observing how productive teams function.

“I now have a whole new perspective of the company,” Hunt said. “This is something I would enjoy doing in the future.”
