I have a love for dark intimate paintings. I loved pieces that didn’t have too much of an explanation. My main medium is oil on canvas. Incorporating faces with dull expressions is symbolic to me always being conflicted and never knowing what I want to do next. I do what I do in the moment and move on to learn and make my skill better. I mainly paint portraits with abstract influence and take every chance I get to experiment with abstract. Even in my digital, mural art, and paint and sip classes. I show students a step by step process on how to paint an abstract picture by tapping into the unconscious conscious part of themselves. This helps students use their most creative selves to complete a picture with no judgment. Ultimately I want to convey the importance of things not having a meaning but simply free form expression like my art.
