The District Detroit Featured in Shopping Industry Blog

International Council of Shopping Centers, the largest global trade association of the shopping center industry, featured The District Detroit and Detroit’s comeback story in the Center of Shopping blog this week.

In the blog post, Olympia Development of Michigan Vice President Steve Marquardt writes about the reasons that national retailers are choosing Detroit.

National retailers from Nike to Whole Foods have either planted roots or are looking to do so. Shinola, the Detroit-based manufacturer of American-built goods, hinged its entire brand squarely on its hometown of Detroit.

These retailers understand what our organization already knows to be true—Detroit is a smart investment.
